2023-06-26 "THE EXTRAORDINARY FRUITS OF ORDINARY FAITHFULNESS" by Rev. Elias Limones

"His master said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master."

~Mathew 25:21

In our journey through life, we often yearn for grander pursuits —extraordinary achievements, transformative influence, and great prosperity. However, in the Kingdom of God, true abundance lies not in the relentless pursuit of grandeur but in faithfully tending to the little things surrounding us. By nurturing faithfulness in the seemingly minor aspects of our faith and daily existence, we unlock the doors to God's provision, unveiling the bountiful blessings that await us.

"The little foxes spoil the vineyards"

~Songs of Salomon 2:15

Little things "done faithfully" open the door to big things "done abundantly."

Here are four thoughts on tending to the little things in life:

1. Embrace Gratitude

Gratefulness breeds faithfulness. Cultivate a mindset of appreciation for the simple joys and blessings that come your way each day. A heart overflowing with gratitude unlocks doors to a deeper connection with the Lord and gives you the proper perspective in life.

2. Foster Contentment

Learn to find contentment in the present moment and make the most of what you have.

"Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content."

~Philippians 4:11

The biblical principle of stewardship calls us to exhibit faithfulness in managing our resources, be it time, talents, or finances. We demonstrate responsibility and trustworthiness through faithful stewardship of even minor provisions. This commitment to faithfulness in the little things prepares us for greater opportunities ahead.

"And though your beginning was small, your latter days will be very great."

~Job 8:7

3. Honor Opportunities

Faithfulness shines through how we handle every opportunity, no matter how insignificant they seem. Whether completing small tasks, honoring promises, or fulfilling responsibilities, maintaining integrity in the seemingly little things lays a solid foundation for God's trust and favor. With these faithful acts, the seeds of character and reliability are sown, ultimately paving the way for extraordinary blessings and opportunities in our journey.

"… No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly O LORD of hosts, blessed is the one who trusts in you!"

~Psalms 84:11b

4. Practice Kindness

Extend love, kindness, and compassion to those around you, even in seemingly insignificant interactions. Small acts of kindness can profoundly impact those around us and create a ripple effect of positivity. By faithfully spreading goodness, you align yourself with God's purpose and open yourself to His blessings. Live by the Golden Rule.

By faithfully tending to the little aspects of life, we cultivate a mindset of gratitude, contentment, honor, and kindness.

Remember, faithfulness in the small does not guarantee immediate fulfillment of all desires, but it opens the door to God's favor in our life over time. Remain steadfast in your faithfulness.

Have a blessed week,

Pastor (Rev. Elias Limones)
