"Now FAITH is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen." Hebrews 11:1
Resilience - the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties; toughness.
"That which does not kill us makes us stronger." - Friedrich Nietzsche
Certain moments in our lives test our faith and self-resilience. That's when we discover what we are capable of and how much of God's power and strength we possess to keep moving forward in life.
Job was a man of impeccable character, unmovable faith, and unmatched resilience like no other in the Bible. God was not the author of his unimaginable tragedies. However, He allowed them to come to him because He had such confidence in Job's faith and resilience to get back up from the ruins of life. Job said: "Though He (God) slay me yet will I trust in him." Job 13:15
How many times have you heard tragic life stories thinking that if something similar happened to you, you wouldn't be able to get over them? Yet, whenever life strikes you down, you manage to get back up with the Lord's help and carry on.
The way you face life's challenges builds you up spiritually and ultimately defines you as a man or woman of faith.
Our strength comes from:
First and foremost, the Lord our God.
Second, from difficult experiences.
We have amazing, exclusive promises in the Word of God to remind us that whatever we're going through, we've got this! We have the necessary strength and faith; we need just to dig a little deeper, pray, and trust in the Lord. Be resilient for "The righteous falls seven times and rises again..." Proverbs 24:16 Have a blessed week, Pastor Limones
