“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.” Hebrews 12.2

The famous author Napoleon Hill said, “A goal is a dream with a deadline.”

1. Goals are the targets we aim and strive for in life.

  • They motivate us to keep moving forward; without them, it is easy to become complacent.

  • Goals are God’s way of keeping us in a growth mindset.

  • If you do not know where you’re supposed to end up, you will never reach your God-given destination.

2. Goals challenge us.

  • When we stop challenging ourselves to move forward, we start moving backward.

  • No one stays the same; we either move forward into progress or fall back into paralysis.

  • We are either getting better or getting worse.

  • We know this to be accurate by just observing our mental health; Research has shown that when we’re not working our brainpower, it starts deteriorating.

  • Anything left unattended starts to breakdown over time.

  • We need new challenges and goals to keep us on the path to our destiny.

3. Write your goals down.

  • Make your future goals visually accessible.

  • Find something that will remind you of the result you are seeking.

  • Some people put up an old picture of themselves at the weight they wish to reattain.

  • Some put up an image that inspires them of the financial lifestyle they want.

  • Others place objects on their desks, such as a plaque, mock award, or other items that remind them of their destination.

  • Make sure to make your goal visual to be inspired on a daily basis to accomplish it.

Motivational Speaker Mark Victor Hansen said, “By recording your dreams and goals on paper, you set in motion the process of becoming the person you most want to be.”

CHALLENGE QUESTION:

What could you accomplish in this new year personally, family-wise, in your walk with the Lord, in your ministry?

Answer that question, then put a plan together and discipline yourself to go after it.

I wish a Happy and Blessed 2021 to all the members of our Soul & Body Club!

Blessings,

Pastor (Rev. Elias Limones)
