"Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart. So you will find FAVOR and good SUCCESS in the sight of GOD and man."
Proverbs 3:3-4.
If there's one thing that you must desire to have is the favor of God upon your life.
You won't achieve the impossible without supernatural favor from our Heavenly Father, so stop trying and let Him show up in a mighty way.
Every God-given dream, every challenge you have ever faced, and the most challenging things in your life are not impossible. They all can be done with supernatural favor if only we ask Him for it.
To live with supernatural favor, we have to prepare for it. God pours out His favor on those who are ready for it. If you're not preparing yourself, how can you expect Him to give you what you need? He is searching for the faithful that will trust Him and be ready for His provision.
Here are five steps to welcome God's favor in your life:
1. Be Prayed Up
I believe prayer does more for us than it does for God. It prepares our hearts with faith and clarity for the future. Praying words of faith sets us in a place of receiving. When we genuinely ask God for His favor, it flushes out fear, doubt, and unbelief. According to Solomon, the tongue has the power to instill life or death. So, that means our spoken prayers hold life-giving potential. How much are you praying for favor and believing God to grant it to you?
2. Be Read Up
You need to fill your mind with God's Word. The more we get in the Word of God, the more the Word of God gets into us. It's impossible to know God fully without knowing His Word. You have to tap into resources that will cultivate what God has already spoken to us through the Bible. Make sure you are getting a healthy inspiration from God's Word.
3. Be Cleaned Up
We need to remove the junk in our life that clogs our spiritual pipes, so to speak. We all have sin that entangles us in negativity. To experience God's favor, we need to make sure we aren't blocking His provision because of "accepted sin" in your life. Accepted sin is the term I use for things that we willingly allow for in our life that shouldn't be there. It represents those things that we know should be removed from our lives but that we hold on to and justify. Allow God to help you remove these things from your life, so He has all your heart.
4. Be Amped Up
If you want to experience supernatural favor from God, you must "amp" up your boldness. You have to have the courage to step out and put yourself in situations where you rely on God. Never challenging yourself or "getting in over your head" will keep you in the comfort zone. Comfort zones do nothing to stretch us. In fact, all supernatural favor takes place outside the comfort zone. When we are in over our heads, we have to rely on God and when He shows up the most. Get "amped up" to step out farther than you ever have.
5. Don't Give Up
Be patient with God's supernatural favor. Change your perspective on setbacks to setups; Do not see obstacles and challenges as roadblocks. Sometimes when it seems like we are down to nothing, God has been up to something great. Favor comes through playing the long game of life. We have to keep our eyes on the prize no matter what may come our way in the meantime. The enemy wants to distract you and make you impatient, but don't bow to these things. Keep your head up and keep on “keeping on,” no matter what you face.
Have a blessed week,
Pastor (Rev. Elias Limones)
