"And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose."
Romans 8:28
Set Realistic Goals
Our God is a "dream-giving God." There is nothing terrible in dreaming big dreams, but does it make sense to dream big if you can't do anything to make your dream come true?
Your dreams can be lofty, but you should set goals with at least the smallest chance of being realized.
Life is too short to dream without acting. If God gives you a dream, it will come to pass as long as you stay within the divine path that will take you there.
Set some personal goals. Don't be unrealistic. Psychologists agree that unrealistic goals lead to disappointment and unwillingness to set new goals. Meanwhile, realistic goals add confidence and motivation to work on any endeavor. Recall your excitement when you've managed to achieve something-you enthusiastically said to yourself: "with the help of the Lord, I did it!" You realized that it wasn't that difficult and genuinely believed that you were capable of achieving more.
Consistency in Anything You Do or Say
The Scriptures say in James 3:4, "...but let your 'yes' be yes and your 'no' be no..."
If your words and actions are not consistent, people will stop relying on you. What is even more dissatisfying is that you will not be able to rely on yourself. If you learn to do as you say, your time management skills will improve, you will be able to do things efficiently and always take your promises seriously.
Consistency is crucial if you want to be proactive, whether you made promises to God, others, or yourself. Adopt a rule to stop saying or committing to things you are not confident you will do.
Set realistic deadlines to avoid over-promising and don't change the plans if others have already confirmed them.
Actively Participate
A proactive mindset will only streamline your leadership capabilities. Depending on how you participate in conversations with your team, you can influence the outcomes. Instead of solely reacting to the solutions suggested by others, make sure you present your own.
A proactive person will never be indifferent to anything that needs a solution in a team; he/she will always play an active role in finding a solution.
If you notice areas that your team needs to address, don't be shy or afraid to share your observations, ideas, or predictions with your teammates.
Conclusion
Having a proactive mindset will influence different areas of your life. Increased consistency will boost your motivation to be involved in the kingdom of God (church), to be physically active regularly, and keep promises that you've made to God, your family, and friends. Simultaneously, self-reliance will help you find the way out of different situations in your life. For example, active participation can help you become a better Christian; your prayer life will improve. It can help you become a better parent to your children, a better husband or wife. Just remember that proactivity is something you can acquire and train. Each step towards proactivity that I've described above will bring you closer to the mindset that you need to live the life that God planned for you.
